Gorgeous ocean front community. Part of La Jolla, but feels somewhat removed and "secret" in a way.
Go here for a close encounter with sea lions. You can swim with them, stand right next to them, it was awesome.
Great spot for some activities: hiking, surfing, biking or sightseeing... Definitely worth a couple hours of your day. Free parking along the coast if you can find it!

One of the best beaches in Orange County! Beautiful rock formations, scenic jetties, smooth entry into the water and incredible views make for a winning combo. Park around Ocean ave to avoid the fee
In order to get a fire pit, you have to get here early in the morning.. Like 9am!
Quiet beach by LAX. Good for a quick stroll. Parking available & good cycle paths
Absolutely loved this place. Soft sand, lots of area, and the sunset was spectacular.
Beach, beach, and more beach. Small town with nothing to do but hit the beach. Not too shabby IF you can find parking. Arrive before noon.
