Omelet w/ smoked salmon was ok but would've been better w/ crème fraîche mixed w/ lemon & chive. Shrimp cocktail was fresh w/ medium-sized shrimps & ridiculously good cocktail sauce.
Don't sit by window! Hostesses are stupid & rude to seat 4 ppl @ these tables meant for 2 ppl!! TO OWNER/CHEF: As a result, we ordered LESS to fit our tiny, uncomfy table & didn't even order dessert!
Absolute fave: French Onion soup!! ;9 Choucroute is also good. Had Steak Frites w/ both Au poivre & red wine sauces on side-both great but I prefer the wine sauce. SKIP Les Halles & come here!

Great cozy seating. La Columbe coffee is the standard-awesome. Croque Madame is brunch worthy. Apple turnover, to die 4. Pain au chocolate, sometimes is still warm--Ridic! Run there, don't walk.
i'm not even a fan of lemon desserts but the lemon-poppy kouign amann at this place was seriously the best thing EVER. such a nice balance of crunchy outside + soft, squishy insides + custard. perfect
Great deserts of course but the most surprising thing they offer are incredible breakfast sandwiches - ham and cheese croissant is my fav - and healthy to-go salads for lunch!
Great ambiance. Macha jasmine latte and macha pistachio cake were delightful. Just a touch of sweetness to let the matcha shine through.
Love the matcha cream puff and scones here. Gets crowded so you have to fight people for room on the narrow slab of wood.

Amazing bakery! Instead of the Crueller (which is great) try the Kouign-Amann, a beautiful French treat. The sausage egg sandwich is absolutely delish; add their in-house sauce to every bite.
Best croissants in the city. Almond croissant is something special. Coffee is made for you to chill for a while, gigantic cups!

When I’m on the go I grab a banh mi, made with our homemade pâté, sausage and ham, it is the most incredible on the planet. For something sweet, a crispy on the outside, soft on the inside canelé.
Great carrot ginger soup! A bit expensive for a snack place but the quality of the food is really good.

LOVED raspberry croissant, chocolate cookie, & Blue Bottle coffee (from SF!) here! Bacon gruyere scone were pretty decent. So is Kouign Amann when they have 'em. Unique macaron flavors!

Best Baguette: baguette Monge-slightly swollen at middle & slender at tips, crackly outer crust yielding to a moist, almost damp crumb...tastes buttery w/o butter, rich & complex w. a subtle tang.

Chocolate almond croissants were some of the best I've ever had, not too heavy or oily. We had lunch - salad was good, salmon was amazing.
