Great place! Great selection of beers. Rowdy and divy, and usually heavy metal playing on the speakers. Sometimes they do themed nights, e.g. barley wine, sour beers, or porters.

Classic beer dive bar. This placed helped make craft beer popular in the 90s & 00s. However, it often stinks like toilets, vomit, & BO. "Sister" bars Horse Brass (OR) & Falling Rock (CO) are nicer.

One of, if not the, best beer bar in the city. Cash only, gruff barkeeps. Love it, go for the awesome beer. Pliny and blind pig on tap.

Unpretentious place to grab beer, eat a sausage from next door, or wings from down the street. Come on an off night or during the day to sit at the bar.
You must get a table and have a Rosamunde sausage in hand to fully enjoy Toronado. You could drink for days & still not touch everything on this well-priced beer menu.

Great beer list with ever increasingly douchey patrons. The bartenders still act like assholes but now it feels like it’s just for show to appease the touristas.

Awesome selection of beers. One of the few places to occasionally offer De Koninck (my favorite Belgian style pale ale). If they have it, get it.

Serious EatsŞubat 20, 2014This Haight Street bar has offered great beer in San Francisco since 1987.- The only things clean here are the beer lines and glassware. Selection is only great if you go once. Go again in a week, same selection. Another week, *maybe* some new stuff. You can do better SF.
Always has Russian River beers on tap. Pliny the Elder is RR's best seller at other bars, but those in the know order Blind Pig instead.

K RŞubat 24Best beer bar in all of Northern California. They always have amazing beers & hard to find breweries on tap. Plus, they have casks!
For tap takeovers make sure you order by number and in order. Prepare for it to take a while so order a few at a time.

Derek PeplauNisan 5, 2013Any bar that has a jukebox with a Naked Raygun CD in it (even if it's a greatest hits) deserves some serious respect. I recommend 'Treason'.- Consistently great beer list. Grab a sausage next door at Rosamunde if you need some food after a few brews.
Fantastic beer selection at very decent prices! Usually two cask condition "real ale" beers available too.
