MhmtaliHaziran 1, 2013Airtrain it back to Manhattan if you're travelling solo. It takes an hour and it's only $7 compared to a $50 cab where you can get stuck in traffic. Just follow the signs.

Samantha TrumanMayıs 30, 2013Pre screen isn't applicable, be prepared to take out your laptop and off your shoes. The people running the pre screen line just sat around and talked while no one was allowed to use that lane.
Remember two years ago, I wrote a tip about the pricing? Just get a smartphone, go tether, call your carrier and stop the data plan while you're away. Problem solved, saved $10/mo., get more use.

If going to terminal 8 via AirTrain: transfer at terminal 1 to go the opposite direction to save a few minutes

Things to know: it is in Queens, taxis have a flat fare to Manhattan, it's a big airport with a lot of terminals. Fly safe!

If you're looking for a bar outside of security, head straight to Terminal 1. Greenwich Village Bistro, in the food court, next to Sbarro, is your salvation.

Probably one of the best run airports in the world, and the most comfortable. if you travel, take pains to do it out of here.
David WMayıs 3, 2014If you are heading to terminal one, and you have time READ THE TIPS THERE! Not a great place to eat, or hang out. Eat before security. Need boarding pass stamped. Some of the airlines have hours.

Beeline for the cabline as you exit. Don't dawdle. It's always the best way to save yourself a 40 min wait!
New Delta Terminal is big on shopping, and zero on TSA flow or gate accessibility. Expect 45 min at 6am to get through security, the walk 1/2 mile to gate
Avoid the long, long taxi line at Delta Terminal 4: take the Airtrain to Terminal 7 & go downstairs to taxi stand for a MUCH shorter wait.
T4: Buffalo Wild Wings bar has outlets under the bar top next to coat hooks! Beers, burgers and recharge!
Virginia BoylesHaziran 28, 2011For International flights be sure to definitely arrive prior to 2 hOUrs as required. I witnessed some passengers being denied for being 15 minutes late at 5am! Plus the security line may take 45+min
DuDo's has serious representation in T5, but there is an Illy hidden at gate 18 that serves decent coffee and Balthazar pastries.
Each terminal has its own thing. It can be modern and nice to completely crappy. So, good luck!
Convenient from the city, much closer than Newark and covers all top international destinations. Very functional airport
