The truffle pizza is life changing. Doesn't look like much on the menu or even the presentation but it's effing delicious. I came back twice in two days for it.
Don't come here and pretend that you're not going to have pizza. In the end you're not just going to have a margarita pizza... You're going to go for the truffle pizza. Just stating the facts....

Erin PettigrewMart 19, 2010Because it's attached to the Bowery Hotel, Gemma is a classy yet easy spot for celeb spotting. People I've met here include Thom Yorke and David Byrne. Keep your eyes peeled.
love having breakfasts here: not as packed as Balthazar in the mornings. go on a long early early run, then to an early meeting here and get the protein breakfast. tea on the side!
The Contadina pizza: eggs, mushrooms, Fontina, truffle oil with prosciutto or bacon. Yum.

The kale salad in incredible. Ask for a double order and make it a meal.

- Julian PaulEkim 24, 2016Just NO! Stereotypical, unauthentic decor. Poor service (unhygienic menu, had to get our own forks, superficial and dismissive attitude). Most of that could be forgiven had the food not been mediocre.
- Nice laid back Italian spot with a killer espresso martini.
Tasty steak & branzino, also go for the watercress salad.
