The climb will leave you huffing, so wear the shoes you would for hiking. As is true for all major historic sites, you will not be alone. The sweeping views and the history make it all worth it, tho.

Best ice-cream in Athens, no exaggeration. Very creative flavors, you can taste the actual fruit in them, excellent quality of chocolate and vanilla used. Brownies are very good as well.

Amazing site with great access to the temple and Acropolis views. Great first stop for buying your tickets to all the sites and skipping the line at the Acropolis.
You don't feel like you are in a city. The place has an open yard with trees that is available in the summer. Lovely place and these guys make a really nice coffee.
Fantastic view of Akropolis and western Athens. From the wide windows you can see the Anafiotika neighborhood, the Nymphs' Hill with the observatory on its top, St. Marina, & the Temple of Ifestos.
