4pm: Amble west to Venice’s beach boardwalk, officially named Ocean Front Walk. The people are pure California: tanned surfers and punk skateboarders. Sprawl on the sand and catch an idyllic sunset.
Beautiful rooftop bar with beautiful people. The mountains are the backdrop. The bartender Blaze was friendly, fast and very knowledgeable.

Perfect place to kill a diet. Start with the Death by Duck which is duck fat fries topped with duck confit then move on to the waffle battered fried chicken with maple syrup and hot sauce. Orgasmic.
Very nice beans roasted on the east coast by Gimme. Not an easy setup, it's a store and a coffee place, can get a bit confusing with the waiting lines and all. The place is extremely hipster cute ;)
Continues the high standard (and lines) that DTLA location is know for. There's a magic to their cookery with how rich their sandwiches come out. Still one of the best breakfast sandwiches in LA.
