Ryan GomiscekAralık 30, 2012Getting stuck for a night in Zurich is highly recommended. Gorgeous city, great free hotel room provided by the airline, overall the best cancelled flight location you can ask for.
The Airport completed a major expansion project in 2003, in which it built a new parking garage, a new midfield terminal, and an underground people mover to the midfield terminal to the main terminal.
Welcome back, always nice to see the crazy swiss people when you arrive, if you come from overseas, make sure you enjoy this moment everytime you land!

Angela WuMart 21, 2017Long layover? Terrace outside security @ the airport is nice! Or make a daytrip, luggage holding is 5 francs for 4hrs (go to Service Center) & train to Zurich HB (main station) is frequent and ~15 min

BEST intra-terminal train ever (from A to E)!! Cows mooing, country-side sounds, and mountain views. Amazing and smart entertainment!- The first flight abroad from Switzerland landed in 1921. In the early years of aviation, the Dübendorf Air Base, located some 8 km (5.0 mi) to the south-east of Zurich Airport.

A nice airport, well connected with the city. Don't forget the Observation Deck, a perfect place to relax taking Picts of planes departing and arriving.
observation desk is must to visit! it's for a little price but it worth it! now around 12 it's A380 taking off (check timetable for the exact time)
At end of gate area B: nice view, comfortable seats with wall plugs nearby, internet terminals, relaxed atmosphere

JauntedNisan 16, 2011The inter-terminal train here plays Swiss noise, like mountain stream, cows mooing and Alpine horns. There's also speed-by ads in the tube that surprise train riders, but they're awesome.
If waiting for a flight from "D" gates, go through the terminal building and then take an escalator to the first floor. Nice views of aircrafts taxiing around and departing from RWY16!

Fabio Zoppi BarrionuevoAralık 17, 2014ZRH is a big airport, as others in Europe. So, some tips to help you: 1) Banks are in Check-in 1 area (UBS) and 2 Credit Suisse; 2) Customs is in Check-in 1 area, near of UBS;
Buy your water in the supermarket, it's more than 4 times cheaper than in the K Kiosk
Hands down my favorite airport on earth. A lovely relaxed and open atmosphere where you have access to healthy food.
Always ensure to be here at least 2.5 hours before your international flight. Finding the right counter to check in could be taxing and queues tend to be longer.

Good WiFi connection which is free for one hour. Also really good and friendly staff. Big but also easy to find around.

Take the rail downtown (the station is across the street from arrivals). It's $7 vs $50 for a taxi, and faster. And you can plug in your cell phone on a train.

Possibly the best airport I have ever been thru. I can't imagine how Swiss passengers feel when they disembark at Luton, or even LCY and LHR...
