A perfect place for beautiful views. Take a seat on one of the benches and watch the ships pass by, take pictures by the infamous Pineapple Fountain, and admire the rows of pretty palm trees!
The City of Charleston built this 12-acre park along the harbor, replacing a blighted dock area, at a cost of $13.5M, using tax increment financing bonds, federal & county grants & private donations.
Got a couple hrs to kill? Grab a coffee and stroll down the park until you reach the Battery. Then walk through the streets and check out all the beautiful old homes.
Great views of the harbor and Fort Sumter. Your kids (or you) can play in the fountains, so bring a suit or a change of clothes. Keep an eye out for Rainbow Row one block inland.
Yes it has the pineapple fountain, but what it also has is a view of the harbor. Smell the salt air, enjoy the soft breeze, let the kids have fun in the water or grass. Perfect for the family.
Super pretty during sunset. Walked this with my g/f and ended up finding some nice wooden swings on the pier to relax on while listening to someone play saxophone.

Ladies watch your purses and walk in groups. Especially after dark. Don’t be lulled into a false sense of security because it’s a pretty area. It’s also one ripe for crime at all times! Be careful!

After checking out the park and ocean in the heat, take a small walk up the street to The Griffon Bar and Grill. One of the best pubs in the area, and great food. Daha fazlasını oku
Photo Tip: Check the CarnivalCruises website to time your visit with the Carnival Fantasy's arrival and stay in port right next to the pier at Waterfront Park.
