The longest inhabited building. Where the bishops have lived starting back in the 1200s, and still do. The gardens are beautiful and look at the rear of Wells Cathedral

Stupendous place and a hidden gem. Make sure to visit the quiet garden and appreciate the views of Wells Cathedral from across the pools.

The cafe inside the courtyard is nice and reasonably priced. Try the tuna sandwich and the scones.

Wonderful 13th century moated palace. Supposedly the oldest inhabited building in England.

Surrounded by a mote, the Palace has a well after which the town is named. A beautiful walk around the grounds with magnificent view from the walls. Has a restaurant to eat in and relax.
