good service, quick and cheap at least at lunch time! the mussels are really fresh and you've got 4 choices to eat them: morocan is spicy! good soup and salad, the wine is good as well and so the beer
A delicious dinner of grilled mussels, whitebait, seafood platter, crab cakes with truly first rate service, and a perfect bottle of wine. Dessert (Affogato) was fab too. 💖👌🏼
Easily ranked #1 seafood restaurant in Edinburgh. prices are Nearly 50% cheaper than iceland.. everything I tried was fresh and delicious. prawn curry was delicious. I advise mixed platter
W.O.W such a good place. My fav was the blue cheese mussels (yes, really) even tho it’s very salty. Also clam chowder was delicious! Absolutely avoid the oysters, it was like drinking ocean water
Delicious food! Chowder was great, blue cheese Mussels, salmon on toast, heck even the garlic bread. The oysters were not very good but the rest was 10/10
Beg if you must, but do not miss visiting this place when you go to Edinburgh. The food is just fantastic. Fresh, tasty and good value for money. And excellent service. I just love this place 💜
A cosy seafood restaurant. You need to make a reservation for dinner, it's very crowded between 7-10pm. Order mussels, they are good. (Even though the sauce was delicious Shallot smelled weird)
Don't listen to the person who says 1kg of mussels is too much! The blue cheese mussels are to die for. House wine is pretty good ad reasonably priced. Reserving a table is a must as it gets so busy.
Fresh mussels with affordable prices, service was quick. Seafood chowder was OK as I couldn't find other seafood in it apart from chunks of fish and potatoes. Would still recommend for seafood lovers!
We had a great dinner - portions were more generous than expected and the prices weren't too bad either. Very well considered wine list and friendly service.
Ignore the Foursquare rating. For 7.5 quid you get a gigantic bowl of fresh mussels (go for shallot, sauce is incredible), bread+butter, wine, and french fries. Best lunch I've had in the UK.
Lunch quickies are fantastic and mussels are absolutely the best I have ever tasted. Inspite of foursquare info about opening hours it is open whole afternoon long.
The iced oysters from Isle of Mull were under nutrient. May be not in good season. The mussels were fantastic, very well grown. Tiger prawnegg noodle is in Thai style, taste good but not special.
Great restaurant, excellent service, friendly staff, effordable prices! 1/2 pounds of mussels with a beer and french fries only 7,5 Pounds. Highly recommended
Perfect match of mussels and crispyFrench bread!!! (the bread is free refill!!!) definitely a Must try when it scots... The mussels are perfectly cooked... Absolutely delicious
1/2 kg mussels for each person seems to be the right portion. We didn't order main but it looks to be a big plate. Mussels are absolutely lovely and fresh.
This is not -despite what foursquare may say- the best seafood restaurant in Edinburgh. Some on the list are far superior. This is nice, very cheap, and friendly, but it’s pretty basic
