The character of a city and local ambiance is best felt in the open air market. This one is my favourite. Excellent offer of fresh food and an interesting part with second-hand stuff - flea market.
Burek - local type of pie, stuffed with meat, cottage cheese or just plain. My recommedation: plain. Small bakery, specialised for burek, established in 1948, right next to the Kalenić Market.
Finest coffee in the garden. A place where Limunana & Limenta were invented. This is a perfect place for an afternoon coffee, but also for a warm up before hitting the night. Try rakia-Three Angels).
A hidden, secluded place in an inner patio between buldings. A spot with musical bites and tasty wine. A simple small restaurant with fresh, seasonal food, inspired by the near-by makret.
Restaurant/bar/nightclub. Placed in an old re-vamped house, previously owned by Djordje Jovanovic, famous sculptor. Contemporary traditional. Reservation recommended.
Resonate.io The most interesting contemporary festival on technology in arts and culture. Gathers artists from all over the world once a year in Belgrade (3, 4 and 5 of April 2014).
