Authentic. That's all you need to say about The Gate. Food is unexpectedly tremendous. All the Irish favorites delivered with the ingredients and service you would hope for. Staff is the best. #LOVE

Jason CronkHaziran 1, 2013St. James Gate has the BEST Cobb Salald in New York City. Well worth ordering. I thought nothing could beat Hair of the Dog's Cobb Salad, but thank the heavens I stumbled upon this pot of gold!

Joel StampEkim 18, 2015The tall blonde barmaid doesn't want to serve anyone other than a regular. Makes eye contact only to purposefully ignore you. Lucky the bald Irish barman is friendly!
If your lived in a sitcom, this would be the bar you and your friends made episodes.
Best bar in NYC! Nicest bartenders and GREAT service all around! Guinness is amazing and food is really good too
Don't be thrown off by the prices, buy-backs happen often. The high prices are there to keep the gin mill crowd away.
