Skagen is my hometown so this is on top of my list. The beer is mostly variations of lager and good seasonals. Not a beer geek hangout, its mostly about the early bird dinnercrowd. Lovely building.
Green's is a nice pub very popular with weekend guests. The list of beers is not very long but they have a diploma from Danske Øltentusiaster and if you have a membership card, you get a discount.
I lille Ålbæk omkring 20 km syd for Skagen ligger dette Godt Ølmærkede sted. Et imponerende antall belgiske øl til salg både i butikken og baren.
The beers are nice, and go well with the solid burgers. And here's a bonus, the bread is made with leftovers from the brewing.
You might not get the brewpub or microbrewery bar/restaurant experience quite the way you'd expect here. More of a proper restaurant. but the beers are good and a the food a treat.
A really good beerpub according to Danske Ølentusiaster (Danish beerenthusiasts) with a proper Dansk Ølmerke (Danish beerstamp).
I really liked their Barley Wine, and their IPA (Fort Dansborg). However, if they still have the Søgaard Rød Quinua, then try that as well. Friendly staff, good solid food.
An astounding number of beers on tap from the british isles. Quite amazing selection, considering we're in Aalborg and not Copenhagen or London for that matter. Great 'hygge'.
Nibe Bryghus was supposed to suspend its operations in the summer of 2015, but it now looks like a deal has been made to keep it going. Visit if you can, it is a gorgeous and friendly brewery!
A lovely "ramshackle" kind of place. Lot of soul, real local people, students .They allow smoking here, so heads up about that. Often have beer from Ebeltoft it seems. Good place, good people.
Another lovely addition to the Aarhus craftbeer scene. Here you get Danish beers from the owners own Gamma and his partners who brew Ølsnedkeren. This is the kind of bar you will return to.
Every growing, Mikkeller finally found a place outside Copenhagen in Denmark, and the bar in Aarhus is a splendid addition. Great looking and with a really nice young enthusiastic staff.
If you need a German fix while you're in Aarhus, this is the place. But it is very heavy on the "night out crowd" so don't expect to find beer nerds here.
Great place run by local students who know about beer. The food is a bit more on the "lets save the World" side of things than the beers I suppose.
I really liked this place. Even over the sound of a very loud american woman, the bartenders were friendly and attentive, great beer selection and just, well, nice! I'd even go there for coffee!
When I finally got here, I had several miles of walking and lots of food and beers from all over Copenhagen sloshing around my head. Still really liked the place, but can't remember what beers I had!
There are not enough hours in a day or brain cells in your head to get "through" this place in one visit. Great staff, real passion for craft brewing, heaps of taps and just a great place.
I adore Mikkeller & Friends, and the fact it doubles as a bottleshop. The only drag is to have to schlepp all the bottles from this somewhat out of the way neighbourhood back to the city.
I love craftbeers, I love comicbooks from Belgium and France... Enough said, great place to visit!
I really like Fermentoren, not least because it is near where I usually stay, and Mikkeller bar and Kihoskh. People working here don't mind having a conversation, time permitting, and beers are great.
A real Copenhagen experience. Very good selection of beers. Sit down, enjoy your beer and watch life (of sorts) play itself out around you.
A bit sterile and bland, so not unlike Carlsberg itself. Nice people working here though.
Brand new craft beer pub in the absolute center of Copenhagen. Boasts to have the biggest selection in Europe with an impressive 61 taps (no repeats). More once I've been there.
Beer and meat. Meat and beer. Amazing place... I won't say "prepare to be butchered". Oh, I did... In any case. Make sure you go on a fairly empty stomach!
On the top-end of Sjælland. Some of my beer friends were here recently, so I thought I'd better check it out for myself. Lovely little place, fine beers, worth the trip!
