Haitham Bu-AishaEylül 18, 2015Very unpleasant experience with their passports control. Only two officers for multiple flights.. While for Turkish nationals they have five officers.. Forgot it, wouldn't repeat the experience..
Take the express buses (E10) outside of the terminal which are going to Kadikoy Ferry Stations (final station) where you can get into the ferries to across to European side very cheap and fast..
È normalmente il secondo grande aeroporto d'Istanbul però è molto grande, ma c'è una problema, non guardare sullo schermo per volo!! Vai all'imbarco alla ora d'imbarco!
I love this airport, it is super easy to make the check in and not that crowded as Ataturk airport is😉
Деньги можно менять в обменнике по прилету(евро). Курс был лучше чем в некоторых обменниках города. Курс доллара был чуть хуже, но не на много.
A very strange airport, NO free wifi and overpriced shops but relatively clean and fast. Be prepared for extra security check at the entrance to building. For cheap transfer to city use bus E11.
Mariam TatishviliEkim 16, 2014There is a lounge on the second floor, for entrance I payed 15 euros and it includes some food, like snacks, salads and even Turkish Chorba! And also wifi internet. The staff is very unfriendly!!!

There is also a terrace where the gates 301-307 are located. Smaller but usually less crowded. The cafe inside the terrace doesn’t have alcoholic beverages.

It was very convenient years back now it is not easy to reach your contuar and pass the security post. Need to improve the process.
MuratTemmuz 31, 2016Located at the Asian side, relatively smaller, but very passenger friendly. Customs line can be longer than expected; add an extra hour.
Cozy, small but very organizational and structured airport.

Semih DeliveliMayıs 15, 2016Try to avoid SAW although flights are cheaper. There is always a delay. My 23:55 flight is delayed by 2 hours 5 minutes because of traffic. Why they are adding new destinations is a big wonder?!

You can take a bus(Havatas) to Taksim for 5€, or to Kadikoy for 4€. You can pay with € or $, no need for change.
Nice and comfortable airport, easy to get to the gates. Little bit far away from the city center but the journey is no hassle if there is not much traffic
Miss GhOcak 14, 2015International departures gates are situated downstairs. lots of people, small space, uncomfortable, cause you always need to wait for a bus to drive you to the plane
Starbucks is more comfy than the lounge, make sure u leave early, there might always be traffic before entry
I find that there is something at this airport which just does not flow for me. The international and domestic flights use the same building ?

Small and easy to navigate. There are several food spots. Its desirable to have more seats and rest areas for transfer passengers.
Danny PovolotskiNisan 4, 2018The airport itself is pretty new and clean. However, the wait times at the border control are insane. Avoid short layovers! I nearly missed a few flights because of the border control waiting times.
there are many plugs in the terminal. but best place is next to "kahve dunyasi" to charge your mobile or your laptop. (turn left after security check)
VMayıs 8, 2014В Стамбуле, на удивление хорошие люди и ужасное движение транспорта.Лучше жить в центре. Тут метро не развито, а на дорогах всё стоит. Домой 5 км. едем около двух часов.
WiFi is for a fee, u can pay if you have a Turkish number. Otherwise it is a problem. But after the passport control u can find cafes which propose wifi, that can help your waiting for the flight

There are two Havatas routes departing from the airport - to the Taksim square and to Kadikoy ferry terminal. You need the former.
