Great neighborhood spot. Solid beer, wine, and cocktail list; nice bartenders; you can basically always get a seat or table. Also good choice if you’re trying to read/do work by yourself at a bar
amazing whisky selection and even better grilled cheese sandwiches. grab a dram and a sando and hunker down for a few hours.

This is my go to spot when I want to have a cocktail and work in the sun. Good drinks, great atmosphere, and generally quiet.

Go for the deep bench of whiskeys, stay for the grilled cheese.
Go ahead and order a Spicy Pickleback with that and check out the backyard!

Virginia Gentleman is an American Classic. The only triple distilled classic US bourbon, with heritage. Order it. Win.
They have several grilled cheesies and they're cheap as hell around $5. Really like the interior of the bar and the swivel barstools.
