Terminal C United Lounge has a separate "Family Room" with couches and a tv to keep the kids entertained.
Storm messed ur flights? Sitting on standby wondering when u'll get on a flight? Pissed off cause they lost ur luggage? Welcome 2 EWR! It's usually not this bad, could b worse, you could b in LGA ;)

There's nothing like the view of Staten Island's rolling hills, as seen from EWR, on a clear summer day
Nowhere decent to eat so you better bring some bagels or pizza along with you!
Please avoid this airport if you can, especially for connecting flights. Many delays and cancellations due to large volume of traffic and the weather.
For those living in NJ to the west and south remember ABE could be an option as well.

NJ Transit can get you to Penn Station NY in 30 mins if you get the timing right. Amtrak in 20 for double the price.

If you get a meal on the flight, immediately place your butter onto your hot entree to melt the butter. Super delicious.
Can be a dreary and unfriendly place and it can be easy to get sucked into the negative vortex here. Make a stranger smile - you will feel better too!

Newark is the Eskimo word for whales vagina. Understandable why the city bares this name. (I read it on Wikipedia. Must be true)
There's not much in the way of shopping. For food, the Belgian bar is probably the best of two options after passport control
Try to catch one of the pigeons walking around inside the terminal. Protip: lure them closer with pretzel crumbs from Auntie Anne's.
UglyCookMart 7, 2015Having charging stations on these days should be norm... Thank god for that. If on terminal C go for a hotdog at Nathan's.
You can pick up a shuttle bus at gate C71 that transfers to B or A terminal without going through security again. If you take the AirTrain you'll have to leave the secure area.
Security backs up at peak times. Get there early! Especially if you don't have TSA precheck.

If you have a choice, fly JetBlue out of Newark. Security is so much less stressful at Terminal B than Continental at Terminal C. Lines are shorter and everybody is happier. A better start to the day!

Korey LartigueKasım 26, 2011If you're looking for a cheap way to leave the city within the next few hours. EWR always has the cheap-getawat flights. But +/- 100$ for car service, depending on where you're coming from.
Never know what traffic in is going to be like, so get there early and enjoy the restaurants.
DaniŞubat 25, 2013The only airport serving the New York region prior to LGA's construction, and hub for United Airlines. Watch out for rush-hour and high-demand traffic times, Newark could not be any slower.
The NJ transit train ticket includes the $5 AirTrain fee. The tip that says AirTrain is free is incorrect.

Horrible, no pre-check for terminal A, frequent 'random' selections for additional screening. Bring bread crumbs and make friends with the pigeons that infest this travel gem.

The food situation has declined. Every restaurant is run by one vendor. No local flavor. Like eating at a restaurant run by the Borg. 😱
