The well on top of the keep is called "Fuku-no-i" and is the namesake of Fukui castle, city,and prefecture.
There are a few pieces of ancient ruins located throughout this whole neighborhood that are thought to be remnants of this castle's grounds. Keep your eyes open for placards and old stones!
Check out the giant cherry tree in the school yard -- the oldest and largest one in the area!
