Its not a pretty place, but its very authentic Northern Chinese style soup-filled dumplings with hot sauce. Go for it. Takes a while to make, but they're fresh, hot and delicious.
One of the great greasy chopstick restaurants in Toronto. Fantastic congee, fried noodles, platters, BBQ duck and pork. Stay away from the western menu of burgers etc.
Near my Mom's place, its a big old noisy Chinese place with wide variety of great dimsum on carts. Seen it get competitive with diners rushing the carts instead of waiting at their tables - how rude!
Top floor of Dragon City Mall, old school dimsum with push carts and a la carte menu, but a large selection of passable dimsum items. Not great, just ok. Don't wait for the elevator unless u have to

Had to add this for my veggie/vegan friends. 1 of 2 best Chinese vegan food to be found in downtown Toronto. Nice central location, great selection on the menu, and a small grocery store to buy goods
The other great Chinese vegan restaurant in downtown Toronto. Scrubbed up and modernised, its a perfect date restaurant for the vegetarian foodie into Asian cuisine. Gets very busy, slow service tho!
