Know what you want when it's busy and don't keep the bartenders waiting. Drinks are the strongest in Dallas so so if you're a pansy ask for it tall. Food is good, too.
I strongly suggest getting the Portabello Panini with the Mixed Greens Salad. Ah-Mazing.

Okay, so this is the anti-Dallas restaurant: quiet (can you say conversation?), more laid-back, less stuffy, reasonable portions, and excellent Spanish food. We love coming here. Try the lamb skewers.

Fuel City is for truckers and white people looking for authentic Mexican tacos. This taco stand is where the actual Mexican residents of south side Dallas get tacos. Bonus: they have a drive-thru.
The sketchy neighborhood adds to the authenticity, and so does the fried pork rind taco (chicharrón). Fajita is their most flavorful meat though. Opens at 3PM and stays open past 2AM on weekends.
