Do try the putu piring at Sin Hup Aun cafe, opens from 6pm to 10pm. (Closed on Tuesday)
Freshly made pandan flavor putu mayong is worth a try. Not a big fan of the putu piring though. Uncle Joe's food van is at the corner of Jalan Pasar and Salak Moulmein.

Small little canteen style set up, famous for its traditional nyonya kuehs. Nasi ulam and rempah udang kueh were really good. The pandan honey drink was refreshing too. A little pricey though.

Tuck into possibly the best Popiah in Penang. Order the ones with added crab meat. The stock served with the Popiah is just heavenly. Wash all down with coconut water or ambra juice!
Always good to have again the famous serabai and apom. And of course the best Kuetiau in Penang from Sri Buana.
Yes segrabai of course , small portion of nasi lemak with various options, i love the one with ikan (a small thumb size cut fish, or ikan curoot) . Lots of traditional kueh melayu, ..

Popular food like char koay teow, char koay kak and duck meat koay teow th'ng have to wait for a very long time. Less touristy, locals yes!

This brand is loved by the local of Penang. Too many tourists don't know this brand unless they received it from the local. There is a taugay stall sell it in Anson Road Market but not in gift boxes.

Chulia street lively a night for dinner. Penang lobak, wan tan mee and curry mee👍🏻👍🏻 fresh fruit juices very cheap! RM2 for a glass.

Superb food! Fantabulous sambal belacan! 5 stars Malay kampung dishes. Been eating here since mid 90s before Lidiana moved to the current spot. Totally recommended. Always crowded! Starts arnd 11 am.
Okay, traveler, this is why you're traveling. Grab a seat with the locals, order roti canai and masala chai, and bask in flavors your can't get at home. There's no sign or menu. Just sidewalk benches.

I'm a very picky laksa person. But.. The laksa here and the one opposite(哑巴bisu) is seriously the best of the best! Both taste great. Do give both a try instead of just one. #TwoIsBetterThanOne

Best chee cheong fan in Penang hut super long queue.The char koay teow looks pale in colour but suprisingly it is still full of flavour and the "wok hei" is there! Pork knuckle rice is great as well.
Best ccf I've ever had. TBH, the kopitiam behind it taste equally good and I personally prefer the kopitiam behind it because it has more food selection. Eg: the siuyuk rice w braised sauce is good!
True to the recommendations here, try the chee cheung fun with prawn paste and chili (freshly made daily), char kuey kak and the sandwich from the western store. Try the kopi and toast bread too!

There are 6 jetty's and they're along the same stretch. You can compete all within an hour. Nothing much to do, but still a really nice walk

Visit this place after the 9pm closing time,the shops all become homes for the sellers and walking along the Jetty one can look into these people non-commercial life. Intimate athmosphere, nice lights

Go around 9am where the market is buzzing. Try the curry mee at the end of the st. Sooo good. Assam laksa next to famed chendol is only okay. Some souveniers and clothes shops arnd area for cheap.

The fried oyster is worth try; both wantan mee is below average; the char keoy teow that is with the most smoke is not tasty; the chee cheong fun is very nice.

The Loh Bak is the best in Penang. Like seriously a must have! The uncle is also very friendly and the service is good. The beansprout chicken rice is also very good!
Must try the char kway teow and lor bak here. Most stalls are closed by 2pm so would suggest coming here early to avoid disappointment.

Super friendly service, nice ambience and great variety of cocktails. I like their house speciality 'georgetown transit' (a mix of rum, espresso and coconut) plus their nachos.
