Surprisingly comprehensive collection of both contemporary and historic works. Great sculpture collection. Located right off the Palm Springs strip, which makes walking to dinner afterwards a cinch.
When it was built in 1947, there were no buildings anywhere nearby with the exception of a small landing strip where celebrities could land & grab a few cocktails.
Recommend taking a tour with one of the docents...Also, you can take helicopter tours through the air museum.
Take your camera and prepare to be amazed. You'll travel for 11 minutes to the top of Mt San Jacinto in a rotating tram car where the weather will be 20-30 degrees cooler than on the desert floor. Daha fazlasını oku.
My favorite restaurant in the desert for dinner- love the menu and can always find something fabulous to eat there. The hand crafted drinks are fun and delicious and the space is fabulous.
