Philip CaspariEylül 10, 2016Gateway to tropical North Queensland, this airport offers good service, food & shopping outlets and souvenir shops. Surrounded by wetlands and mangroves, its only a 5-10min drive to inner Cairns.

Sean WhelanMayıs 28, 2011Right up the end of the arrivals terminal is a fantastically positioned green seat. Long enough to stretch out on and go to sleep and right next to, not one but TWO power outlets for recharging.

If you have a long stop blue sky brewery is pretty well priced for an airport and the pizza place is pretty good as well.

DhaniEkim 22, 2014The sun is good here. Don't check in too early. Not enough seats near the domestic check in counters. No free wifi in 2014, and nothing to offer for waiting areas.

Miles MacFarlaneTemmuz 8, 2014Don't expect to charge your device before boarding. I only saw two, but I'd estimate there are only about six outlets for all domestic departure gates combined.
Sean GHaziran 13, 2012No free internet. Barely any power outlets - there's one located on one of the columns by the Australian Produce store, right next to a seat.
If you want to escape the humidity then you will be disappointed with the departures hall perhaps to get you to buy a cold drink. Come prepared!
Airport is finished and great. Clean, spacious and not bad for a regional airport.

Here's hoping that your flight does not arrive whilst there is lightning in the area because you will have a long wait for your luggage.
Definitely the filthiest lounge seats of any airport I've ever been to... My clothes feel so yuck after sitting here waiting!
BoyJupiterTemmuz 26, 2010It's small...real small. :o\ If you have a layover here, lower your expectations before arrival - and bring a good book and something edible.
Take a raincoat in the Wet Season as the carpark and pickup & drop off areas don't have any covers.
