Like stepping back in time; Order a real kaffé creme, crêpes with apricot jam, lox on brown bread, and the spaetzle. You'll never know the great disservice you've done yourself if you skip dessert.

SaraEkim 13, 2018Amazing for a date. Coffee/tea and dessert recommended. Desserts are delightfully decadent. Espresso is perfected. Also, the bookstore - gorgeous, excellent and varied selection.

For dessert the chilled coffee mit ice cream and whipped cream, and the shredded crepes soufflé with fruit compote were both excellent. The classic Viennese chocolate cake and the latte were ok.
SiobhánKasım 19, 2017Extremely expensive but also truly authentic from the decor to the wait staff to the food. If you're planning on treating yourself this is a great place to do it — otherwise go to the downstairs cafe.

Great atmosphere, although there's often a wait. One of my best discoveries in NYC!- YES: trout crepes, bratwurst sausage Mit cheddar cheese (I don't even like sausage), pretzel. DESSERT: shredded soufflé with fruit compote, eiskaffee. NO: sandwiches; tried 2 so far and they were meh.
- Excellent. Definitely get: smoked bratwurst mit cheddar cheese, smoked trout crepe. Meh: spread liverwurst sandwich. Coming soon: dessert.
