Amazing. Here you'll find: a ferris wheel, a shooting range, moving dead presidents, a pyramid of taxidermied animals, columns filled w/ live fish, virtual sports, and archery lane. That is a lot!
This is probably the most "SF" of any place in Reno. They have good beers and its where Renos "hipster" crowd hangs out. It has a great outdoor beergarden.
Cal Neva has some of the lowest limits & best blackjack tables downtown. The upstairs 24 hour restaurant has Keno and cheap eats.
Get family style basque food at the Old Santa Fe hotel downtown. Its a pretty interesing place to visit.
Virigina City is worth 1/2 a day - check out the old timey Mark Twain museum, the prositution museum (in the chinese restaurant), have a drink at the original saloons, and see the "Suicide Table".
The new freeway from Reno to Carson city was Nevadas most expensive highway project and is completely unnecessary in many ways: bit.ly/N3jxMI
Having an Awful-Awful at the "Little Nugget" is like going to the Statue of Liberty in NYC. It's as Reno as Reno can get.
