If you're not in a hurry to get to the central station, you can skip the AirportExpress (takes 23 minutes on the clock, 6.5€) and go by bus 440, change for subway line U47.Takes some 35-45 mins, 2.40€

Every 20 minutes you have a bus to the Holzwickede railway station nearby, just 5 minutes away. If you can catch a train from there, there's no use to shuttle in to Dortmund Hbf., a 25 minute hassle.

Lieber im Ankunftsbereich draussen günstig etwas trinken, denn im Abflugbereich (nach der Security) ist es teurer.

Small sweet city's small but easy airport - less gates less confusion... And just 14 km distance to the centre of city. By taxi it takes max. 15 min. And it costs 25 euro.

Plus: kurze Wege minus: keine Lounge, Unprofessionalität bei der Security schlage, enge wartebereiche, keine „Finger“ Boarding über Rollfeld auch bei regen....

Маленький аэропортик. Zol находится на втором этаже, такс фри возвращают за час до вылета, не ломитесь раньше. Если прилетели втроем, то выгоднее поехать на такси.

Man kann in Dortmund beim Hbf. an keinem Automaten Tickets kaufen, nur beim Busfahrer und da nur mit Bargeld! Das ist im Jahre 2023/2024 in ganz Europa nur in Deutschland so steinzeitlich!

If you are traveling for couple of days, you may want to park across the street at gas station. As I understood its either for free or very cheap.

Incredibly unorganized. Arrived 2h30 before my flight and just got to boarding gate at the last minutes. German staff at check-in are just doing their jobs and the one at security control are a shame.

Small airport. Not much to do here. Prices are crazy (doesn’t matter if your airside or landside). Free WiFi only after signup. At least for me it was rather empty and staff was friendly and fast.

Taxi ins Zentrum Dortmund ca. 23-25€ mit ÖPNV 6.50€. In Berlin kostet der TXL-Bus ins Zentrum nur 2.50€

Im Abholbereich können scheinbar nur Mietwagen parken. Ist allerdings dann auch nur für Mietwagenfahrer kundenfreundlich!

Zum Dortmund Hbf nimmt man den Airport-Express. Das ist ein Bus der von der Flughafengesellschaft betrieben wird und kostet für Erwachsene 6,50€. FahrKarten des VRR sind hier nicht gültig.

Small airport with short ways. Security lanes can be busy at peak times. Food&beverage are quite pricey. Unfortunately no frequent flyer lounge.

Auch im Ankunftsbereich ist hier alles überteuert! Kleine Flasche Cola 3,50 €, steinharte Brezel 2,50 €. Und die Toiletten sind auf Rastplatzniveau.

Worst shuttle service ever!!! Runs only once every hour between Hbf and the airport. The bus today was full so the driver closed the doors on the remaining passengers without calling for backup!

Lieber in McDonalds essen(paar hundert Meter entfernt), hier ist alles teuer, nicht weit weg vom Flughafen kann man kostenlos parken. Security Kontrolle dauert ewig

Worse travel experience ever. Slow service. Not enough custom gates. We we asked to throw away all soft cheese from hand laggage. First time that happened in Germany. Disappointment
