Their calzonepizza is amazing! A reasonable price for a delicious filling meal, and the drinks aren't too pricey either. Perfect for dinner with friends or a date.
Covers all the bases - nice lunch/dinner spot, or you can grab lunch to go at the cafe (2 for 1 special at the cafe after 2). Then happy hour runs from 4:30-6:30 with $5 pizza/apps &drinks.
There’s something for everyone at Il Fornaio—from a purist who only wants spaghetti and meat sauce to a more daring Italian connoisseur eager for pasta with mussels, clams, garlic and wine sauce.
The staff and management here are fantastic! I've been coming here with my family for over 10 years. If you want an item customized, the Chef is happy to create something for you. :-)

Good place for a business lunch. Veggie pizza was delicious & fresh and so was the complimentarybread. Would not recommend Minestrone soup. It was a bit bland for my taste.
I typically never recommend chain restaurants to anyone here in SF, but I will make exception for “Il Fo." Look, it’s close, it’s good, and doesn’t have to be expensive.
Meh. The thanksgiving dinner spread was utterly disappointing. Not only did each course take forever to be served, the turkey tasted like a thawed, sliced Butterball slab of meat.
