Yarn Lam: Should try the Cantonese style lobster. Sauce was great and flavourful, the bed of glass noodles soaked it up perfectly. Surf and turf was also great!
Yarn Lam: Newly renovated and now with hand prints installed of HK and Chinese movie stars along the boardwalk railing. Nice view of Victoria Harbour and not overly crowded so can get decent pics.
Yarn Lam: The other one of two vintage Starbucks in HK, decorated with vintage movie posters to pay homage to the film industry here. Cosy and not too crowded.
Yarn Lam: One of two vintage HK Starbucks, in a bing sutt decor, complete with melamine booth seats and old style “windows”. Entrance by the side of the building.
Yarn Lam: If you don’t wish to squeeze on the MTR with luggage, take airport express to Kowloon station and hop on the free K5 shuttle. First stop is The Cityview and it’s right outside the lobby.

Yarn Lam: Hidden inside the basement and a yummy gem for local flavours if you don’t want to do crazy queues for Birds of Paradise down the road. Flavours rotated daily!
Yarn Lam: Golden fried chicken chop topped with thick buttered toast, scrambled eggs and a melted slice of cheese on a pool of creamy mushroom sauce - what’s not to like? Comfort food to the max!

Yarn Lam: Enter the hall when the tour groups aren’t around and the walk around the reclining Buddha is more pleasant. At Buddha’s feet you can walk around the outside walls to avoid the photo crowd.

Yarn Lam: It’s crowded but it’s quick. Head in for a glimpse of the jade Buddha and take in the majesty of the hall and you can be off exploring the rest of the Grand Palace. Hats off before entering.
Yarn Lam: Crowded as it interchanges with BTS Asok. The ticket machines aren’t very touch responsive so this drags the transaction time, hence long queues.
