Yarn Lam: £8 per adult entry for guided small group tour (12 pax max) up to the top for great views of Edinburgh. Tour time every 30 mins. It’s 221 steps but broken down into 3x manageable 60-odd steps.
Yarn Lam: So much to see here, couldn’t finish in a day! Don’t miss the Millennium Clock, it chimes on the hour from 10:00-16:00. What a fun 4 minute long display of mechanical wonder!
Yarn Lam: Conveniently located along the Royal Mile and walking distance from Edinburgh Waverley station, well-equipped rooms and friendly front desk. Comfortable beds.
Yarn Lam: Not the best brewery tour (it’s more a small museum, some disco “ride”, and games revolving around Heineken sports sponsorship) but at least I get to pay a small amount for a personalised bottle!
Yarn Lam: Buy tickets in advance, slots are timed. The Girl with a Pearl Earring and the Rembrandts make the price worth it but the other pieces are great too!

Yarn Lam: Kimchi pancakes come in small sizes, tell the staff how many pieces you want. BBQ soy pork collar, kimchi soup, japchae, fried boneless chicken make for a super hearty meal. Yum!
Yarn Lam: 10 local brews on tap and jap-sg fusion food. Laksa pizza and ramen were really good. Also tried WANI, the gobo sticks, truffle fries and pork katsu sticks. Great comfort food and cheery staff.
Yarn Lam: Castle grounds are vast - can spend a whole day hiking around here! Was nice climbing around the various parts of the ruins to see how life was like in the old days.
Yarn Lam: Was looking for something to do during a storm and this place did not disappoint with the Battle of Waterloo exhibit and the make your own workshop. Highly recommended!
