Best bakery in Kyoto. Kinda small and they usually have the same stuff, but it's really good. I like the chocolate tart, roast beef/blue cheese sandwich, and (tea-flavored) croissant aux amandes.
Random to have eel in the mountains but it’s very nice formal service and a beautiful old building converted into a restaurant. Private room for luxurious feel!
The biggest, quietest, slightly-spookiest place in Kyoto. Empty during the week with lots of benches, and mysterious at night in the rain!
Nice atmosphere and relatively strong bitter coffee, rare for Japan! Also outlets and wifi, but the wifi seems unreliable.
Great “sourdough” bread although its not very sour, and they sometimes have special pastries and sandwiches of various kinds. I love tuna sandwich!
