The only comfy spot in the entire museum? Hands down, the Lehman Collection wins. Robert’s own corduroy couch is available to lounge on in Gallery 958.

The museum is very large and even a whole day won't cover everything. Wear comfortable shoes. Food is not allowed inside. Don't forget to visit Manipulated Photography Before Photoshop: Def. my fav:)

Tons and tons to see! Lots of good signage, though it is lacking or unclear in places, particularly the Egypt wing. **Remember, admission is suggested! So you can get in for as little as a dollar!**

It's huge, a bit confusing and has more works of art that a person could see in one day. Don't miss the Islamic art section, it's gorgeous!

Everything here is wonderful. If you coat check make sure you know which one to go back to. See what you want first then move around too much to see in one day.

Went there on a Friday evening, when entrance is free. Line was impressive, both in length and speed! It basically keeps moving :) Despite the crowd, we could enjoy the great exhibits!

Architecture is amazing & there's so much to see it's easy to get overwhelmed; go in with a plan for what you want to make sure you see & then just wander, or take one of the tours.

You could spend days here, it's wonderful. What the staff doesnt tell you is that the admissions (25$) are donations and voluntary so you can also go there if you don't have the money to spend!!!

Don't want to see everything: it's pretty exausthive and can't hold much infomation. It's my fourth time here and just today I got up to the contemporary europeans paintings. And it was awesome.

An endless maze of artifacts to see. Make sure to pay a visit for at least an hour when in New York. But actually you should spend at least a day in it. :) You can withdraw cash in the basement floor.

Best to go during the week, during the day. We did a Hack the Met tour which was fun and gave more of a behind the scenes look at a lot of the pieces in the collection.

O melhor museu do mundo, (na minha humilde opinião) além do riquíssimo acervo tem o jardim, que tem uma vista maravilhosa da cidade de NY, reserve uns 2 dias para conhecer o museu todo.

Also known as The Met, this museum at Central Park is home to more than 2 million works— American, European, Egyptian, and Islamic art. Buy tickets in advance to avoid long lines. Closed on Mondays.

Remember that the admission fees are only a SUGGESTION, however you can tell to the people at the ticket box you want to "donate" just $1 . They may give you a look... but you'll save some bucks!

A New York institution. Try to attend a lecture or concert, many are free and lead by experts in a variety of artistic disciplines. Moseying around the impressionist wing on a Sunday recommended.

The Met is too big if you don't have a background in art (history) or an already existing knowledge. Try to prepare yourself online or take a tour so you know what you're looking at.

Gostei muito do tour guiado do diretor. Você pega o mapinha no balcão (lado esq), e com o Wi-Fi grátis você acessa o tour no site do museu e vai ouvindo. 90 min cada andar. Incrível!

Rooftop bar provides one of the best juxtaposing views of Central Park and the skyscrapers. Ask a staff member how to find the elevator up. They've added a rotating exhibit up there as well.

It's too big to see everything in one attempt. Look up a map in advance and make a game plan to ensure you see at least the stuff you want to the most. Otherwise, you'll get lost in the maze!

Do yourself a favor- find sec 501 on the map- "The Studiolo Gubbio"- and look closely at the detail. Pan slowly around the room with one eye covered and take in the surprising, incredible depth of it!

When it's crowded I like to get as fast as I can to the back of the building—usually European or American art. It gets way less crowded the farther you get from the main hall.

Skip the restroom line in the Egyptian Wing and use the bathrooms directly upstairs in the Asian Wing, Gallery 207. They are less trafficked and usually super clean.
