Sushi joints are a dime a dozen in this city, but Shiro's will always be at the top of the heap. Shiro Kashiba trained under master Jiro Ono (of Jiro Dreams of Sushi). [Eater 38 Member]

Sit at the sushi bar (bonus points for dining solo) and let the chef’s decide your meal with never ending Omakase. They really love what they do - shout out to Jun and Gustavo !

Wowww such good sashimi. The $75 omakase came with 18 pieces, including tuna four ways (fatty and fattier) and three kinds of salmon. Uni too!

I wish I could eat here every day. Amazing sushi. They paint each slice with soy sauce at the table so you won't drown the fish in a swamp of wasabi and soy. Go here.

Maybe the best sushi of all time. I don't say that lightly. Amazing selection. The omakase menu marches you through up 45 different exquisite types. Sit at the bar to get the run down on each piece

Omakase is the way to go. Sit at the bar and let them fill you with happiness. Don't expect any Americanized crap. And if you're lucky, yes, Shiro San might be the one serving you at the bar himself!

Highly recommended the $75 Omakase, which is an bargain for the fresh quality fish from Japan/Alaska. Also recommend making a reservation to avoid the long line.

Chef Shiro Kashiba trained under the legendary Jiro Ono in Tokyo—subject of one of the best food docs ever, Jiro Dreams of Sushi—so it's no wonder it offers the best raw fish experience in Seattle.

This is the freshest, finest sushi I've ever had. The prices are great for what you're getting here. Make reservations a week or so in advance if you want to eat at normal mealtime hours.

The quality of the fish/food is outstanding. You need to book in advance. The service is quick and polite. It's really tasty, if you love sushi it's a must go.But I still prefer Kashiba.

The black cod is amazing starter. As for the sushi roll, the dragon rolling n their salmon special. And for those whom are more exploratory with their sushi try the sea urchin it is amazing!

The only way to do Shiro's: Omakase at the bar. Go early, get on the list, leave your phone number and head to a bar nearby while you enjoy aperitifs while you wait.

Continuing the Asianpart of the tour in a city with such a large Japanese population, it's time to try some of the best sushi in the city. This is a pricey one, but the Omakase at Shiro's is fantastic

Best sushi experience I have had in my life. It is cheaper than my hometown in California, slices are larger, chefs are friendlier and super fast. A Washington diamond for sure.

Shiro will only make you a hand roll (his "Shiro Roll") in roasted seaweed if you sit at the sushi counter because he doesn't want the seaweed to get soggy before it reaches your table.
