    My family and I visited a couple days ago, gorgeous! The lady guarding the main reading room was incredibly rude to us when we tried to enter. We were happy to wait in line. Be nice!

    Use the underground tunnel between the Capitol and the congress library. Than you don't need to go to an extra security check and more lines.

    There's a free tour a few times a day, which lasts an hour and a half and is fascinating. If you only have time for either the Capitol tour or this one, no doubt - take this one. Far more informative.

    Get your reader card from the Madison building room 140 to gain access to the main reading room. The buildings are connected by an underground walkway (take the elevator to the Ground level).
