Katie Whalon: This café has so much character & history. Get some hearty, diner-style breakfast and explore the antique shops nearby in Boulder City.

Katie Whalon: Get a "pocket" if you want something savory and a "twinkie" for something sweet! Don't forget to donate to UFO research (also known as, the tip jar).

Katie Whalon: Although they are known for their coffee & tea, they also have a vast breakfast, lunch, & dinner menu.

Katie Whalon: Drive slow or you might miss it! The best deal for a quick sweet fix? $1.20 for 12 donut holes! The top shelf is vegan.

Katie Whalon: There are so many buffets in LV, it's hard to know which are fancy and which are cheap. This is a great middle-of-the-road option inside The Cosmopolitan. Decently priced and amazing, unique options!

Katie Whalon: Awesome pho in China Town. Write your name & the number of people in your party on the clipboard. Not usually a long wait. You can see the hustle in the staff, cleaning tables as soon as people leave.

Katie Whalon: If you are going to bowl in Vegas, this is where you should do it. They have a wide range of bands daily & bar food if you get hungry.

Katie Whalon: Get a stool facing the mechanical bull and you'll be entertained for hours! There is a dance floor for two steppers or you can snag a beer pong table with some friends.

Katie Whalon: There are plenty of trails you can wander down, but if you want to tour from your car, take the Scenic Route for $15. You can stop along the way. The "overlook" just past the entrance is free!

Katie Whalon: Bring a roll of quarters, you'll need them! There are also arcade games such as Asteroids & Donkey Kong. The older games put into perspective how far we've come with technology.

Katie Whalon: Go during the day to see the mountains. Go at night to see Vegas lights. If you have several people in your group, it's cheaper to purchase a bar cart to bring on the pod.

Katie Whalon: During night tours, the lights will be on. Guided tours are best. Pay a little more and you can get a dual ticket for Mob Museum at a discount. Buy in advance to get the time you want!

Katie Whalon: Conveniently located on the strip in case you need some air conditioning or a Jamba Juice to refresh. It's a big circle, so keep walking until you see an indoor rainstorm!

Katie Whalon: This mall is beautiful! The parking garage is free and easy to navigate. There are no directories, so take a pamphlet when you walk in. There is usually a Fashion Show in the middle of the mall.

Katie Whalon: This market pops up in a few spots, so it's best to follow them on social media. They have great quality vendors.

Katie Whalon: The big horned sheep gather at this park to graze and (I assume) gaze at the awesome view of Lake Mead. Find a bench and watch them do their thing! It's on the way to the Hoover Dam.

Katie Whalon: We shared a Falafel Plate and Dolmas and it was plenty for 2 people. Don't forget to get a bite sized Baklava for dessert! There are 3 locations in LV, but watch out, the hours vary at each location.

Katie Whalon: They have the best hot chocolate! If you are here during the holiday months, the cactus garden will be lit up. They have guided/self tours and tastings.

Katie Whalon: Worth the short trip to the China Town Mall. My favorite is the coconut heart shaped pastry. They also have cream buns, macaroons, and cakes. Make sure you have cash, you have to spend $7 with a card.

Katie Whalon: Beautifully decorated, it's as if you are in a tea garden. The food is fresh and light. Outdoor seating is available.

Katie Whalon: You can simply get beer on the Strip or walk upstairs to grab some food and watch the game. It has a great view of the Bellagio Fountain if you can grab a spot.

Katie Whalon: Authentic Tijuana tacos, homemade tortillas and a variety of meats they chop right in front of you. These tacos are so fresh! The handmade tortillas have the best texture.

Katie Whalon: A Buffalo Bills themed dive bar featured on Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives. Original spot for Naked City Pizza. Get the Guinea pizza, named after the chef.

Katie Whalon: Inside Moon Doggies Bar & Grill (a dive bar). They have more than just pizza, including wings, sandwiches and fries. Get the Meatball Skillet to try grandma's meatball recipe.

Katie Whalon: Great brunch place. I got the Huevos Motulenos. I never thought of putting eggs and bananas together in a dish, but it worked! They serve Las Vegas's local Mothership coffee.

Katie Whalon: On Fremont street, you can't go wrong if you like retro vibes. This bar and concert venue has two stages (one indoor and one outdoor). If you like live music, retro decor, and booze, you will love it!

Katie Whalon: Sit outside if you can. Even when it's hot, the misters are blowing making it several degrees cooler. Don't over commit on spice. I got level 2 and it was plenty of kick for me. Great atmosphere!

Katie Whalon: Fun coffee & pastry spot. The Yoda smoothie is so refreshing. There is local artwork hanging on the walls as well as games, books, and TV's. Maybe you'll see "grouchy" John!

Katie Whalon: Right off Fremont St, the oldest free-standing bar in LV. Rotating taps, intense mix drinks & a huge working neon sign make this place a must-try. Atomic bomb testing used to be viewed from the roof.

Katie Whalon: Authentic New York style bakery with a wide range of breakfast, lunch, and dessert options. You have to get a bagel though!

Katie Whalon: This is the freshest Italian food I've ever had. The owner is wonderful and cares deeply about his restaurant. This is a great place to entertain clients or go on a nice date.

Katie Whalon: Have you ever had vegan Asian food? Try this place! It'll be the best sushi and spicy crispy beef you've ever had!

Katie Whalon: Plenty of family-friendly events here. There is a playground in the center and many shops and restaurants in the containers. The 'praying mantis' will shoot flames from its antennae!

Katie Whalon: This shopping area has several restaurants, a movie theatre, and a playground in the center. You may also see a plane or two too close for comfort as it's landing at the airport.

Katie Whalon: If you couldn't make it to Moon Doggies or Fremont Street for famous, local Naked City Pizza, you're in luck! This PT's Gold serves it!

Katie Whalon: Find this place in the Venetian and get the biscuits. This is a classy, southern style restaurant. Their cocktails are delicious and served in mason jars.

Katie Whalon: Inexpensive grocery store if you are here for an extended amount of time. You will find some great deals & you can get some baked goods or tamales on your way out.

Katie Whalon: They have creative donuts in both design and flavor. Kids will usually get one donut free. I went around 11am and they doubled my order to get rid of donuts before they closed. The employees are fun!

Katie Whalon: Unique date night experience eating in the dark. Make a reservation and read the rules before going so you aren't surprised. The staff will explain everything when you get there.

Katie Whalon: This only takes place on the first Friday of every month, but it's worth it if you are in town. Amazing artists hang out here. They have great music and food.

Katie Whalon: Worth seeing if you haven't before. People usually gather ten minutes ahead of the next show, so get there early to get a spot with a good view. 'Beer Park' has a nice view of the show also.

Katie Whalon: Inside of the Bellagio, this beautiful garden display has incredible themes with moving caricatures.

Katie Whalon: Open 24 hours with happy hour specials and reverse happy hour specials (2-5am). Great variety of beers and awesome nachos!

Katie Whalon: Karaoke as late as 3am on the weekdays or 4am on the weekends. Get one of their house made brews and sing along!

Katie Whalon: Great modern spot near Fremont Street serving comfort food for breakfast and lunch.

Katie Whalon: Companies bring their groups here for an outing. I went at night and the bird's eye view was beautiful. The pilots usually throw in some free facts. They also provide Grand Canyon Tours.

Katie Whalon: Purchase a guided tour or pay for parking and explore on your own. I highly recommend going on the bridge. It's a beautiful view and a nice walk. Eat at The Coffee Cup on the way through Boulder City.

Katie Whalon: With freshly baked bread, Pots delivers authentic Egyptian street food in the most nutritious way! Gluten free options are also available.

Katie Whalon: See old Las Vegas from a bird's eye view. This is the zipline you see in the movies!

Katie Whalon: Great first come, first served camping spot. We went in November and the weather was perfect. Warm during the day and cold at night.

Katie Whalon: Go early to get a good view of the show! It looks like a simple waterfall, but every couple minutes there is a new entertaining theme.

Katie Whalon: It's public art about 30 minutes outside the city. The beautiful, bright colors makes for a great photo!

Katie Whalon: Fun for the family that's out of the Vegas heat. Near the North Outlet Mall and offers free parking.

Katie Whalon: If you're in the mood for tapas, this is the place to go! With cozy décor and happy hour specials on both drinks and food, you cannot go wrong if you like sharing small plates & sangria pitchers!

Katie Whalon: Hidden inside the Palms Casino, this place has a great variety of noodles from stir fry, ramen, or soup.

Katie Whalon: Classy spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner near Fremont Street. They close after lunch for an hour.

Katie Whalon: Poolside breakfast, lunch, and brunch spot that serves specialties like their truffle mushroom angus burger.

Katie Whalon: Colorfully decorated spot serving breakfast 24 hours. Their lounge has a firepit with 360 TV's. Great drink specials, too!

Katie Whalon: Cozy spot for some hearty breakfast. Get the homemade bear claw! Also serve lunch and dinner & open on holidays.

Katie Whalon: Inside Sun Coast Casino, this historic spot has served breakfast, lunch, and dinner since 1938! They also have a bakery for a quick bite to eat. Open 24 hours.

Katie Whalon: Creative restaurant with a creative menu. There are usually pop-ups from small businesses on the weekend.

Katie Whalon: French cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The patio is directly on the strip, which is great for people watching. Gluten free options are also available.

Katie Whalon: Brooklyn style pizza in downtown Las Vegas. It's directly behind the famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop.

Katie Whalon: Good-for-you ingredients with creative ice cream flavors and acai bowls. Their flavors are always changing, so if you want someing specific, call ahead.

Katie Whalon: This has been a local favorite since the 1970's. Bring cash!

Katie Whalon: There is an indoor food court so you can get out of the sun. You have to pay for parking, so I would suggest taking a taxi or ride share. They have a line of taxi's waiting to take you home.

Katie Whalon: These outlets are closer to the strip and parking is free. It's also near Town Square restaurants.

Katie Whalon: Something active to do with the family or as a group. Be sure to bring a bag for your personal items. There will be desert dust everywhere!

Katie Whalon: Trust me when I say, you'll find something you didn't know you needed.

Katie Whalon: Beautiful tiki décor without being tacky. The Mango Batida is wonderful. Open 24 hours. Parking is difficult here, it's probably best to take a ride share.

Katie Whalon: An old fashioned speakeasy. Can you find the secret entry? If you make it inside, please read the House Rules. Hint: Try 6th Street.

Katie Whalon: A great spot for after-dinner cocktails. They're known for their whiskey and cigar collection.

Katie Whalon: Great for a dinner date or entertaining clients. The ambiance is old fashioned and low lit. Extensive wine list and located near the Convention Center.

Katie Whalon: Gets its name from former mob attorney and Las Vegas Mayor, Oscar Goodman. The menu items have a mob feel to them with things like, "Nicky's Roasted Chicken & Artichokes". Has a view of Fremont St.

Katie Whalon: Amazing hand pulled noodles that are made right in front of you. The Dandan Noodles are delicious.

Katie Whalon: Great dinner spot inside the SLS Las Vegas resort. This place has such beautiful decorated plating, you won't want to eat it, but you will.

Katie Whalon: The home of the Pawn Stars TV show on the Strip. It's conveniently located on the way to downtown if you want to make a quick stop.

Katie Whalon: In Las Vegas's Arts District, you'll find this "mantique" shop full of grandpa nostalgia. Lots of great finds for grandmas, too!

Katie Whalon: I highly recommend the Salmon Belly Nigiri. Save room for the Affogato. They get busy on the weekends around 7-8:30pm.

Katie Whalon: Delicious & beautifully presented food. They have great happy hour options. On Wednesdays, $1 oysters & half off on drinks & appetizers.

Katie Whalon: Delicious breakfast and brunch with a view of the mountains! Sometimes they have live music and host tea training.

Katie Whalon: This place gets busy on the weekends when there is a live band at Container Park. Let the kids play at the playground in the center of the park and try to get on the second floor for a great view!

Katie Whalon: The potato taco is awesome! The tacos are small, so try three or four different kinds for your meal. They serve draft and bottled beer.
