This place glorifies 'la patrie' and French history so much that it makes you want to apply for French citizenship asap. Useful digital information panels at the entrance.
Pretty decent for an IBIS. Basic rooms but the hotel is well maintained and you get a hearty breakfast in the morning. Friendly and efficient hotel staff too.
Want to visit this stunning library but you're not officially registered with the library? Present yourself at the lobby on Monday and Saturday between 2 and 6 PM. They'll give you a 10 minutes tour.
Everything you expect from a bistro in Montmartre. Great terrace, a romantic setting, sunrays and a lovely view. The food is okay except for the moelleux. Would go back anytime the weather is nice!
You're allowed to see the wonderful reading room (salle ovale) even if you're not registered or if you don't have a pass. Just be respectful and stay behind the railing at the entrance of the room.
A little gem! Laid-back cafe, almost no tourists, genuine staff, concerts in the evening and exhibitions during the day. Probably the only genuine cafe in the touristic centre. 10/10 would come again!
