Paris L.Paris L: Not exactly near East West, but I think it deserves an honorable mention. Located on Grand Ave, volunteering at the Anti-Cruelty Society is a very fulfilling way to spend the afternoon.

Paris L.Paris L: Perfect for theater fanatics. Not quite as upscale as the lyric opera, but certainly nothing to scoff at. I enjoy the more casual, light environment, and the plays are entertaining and well-acted.
