Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP)

Small, easy to navigate airport with everything in miniature form. Adorable.

One of the most laid back, relaxed atmosphere in airports. No waiting, plenty of plug ins, great views, car rental was super fast and easy. Wish all airports were this organized!

Lounge before security has a patio with views of the countryside, inside there are plenty of power outlets on the raised seated area away from the bar. One of the nicer regional airports.

Easy check-in and very friendly staff. And the views are spectacular. Don’t miss the observation patio located at the restaurant outside of security.

With only 35 minutes to spare, Delta crew was able to get me in an earlier flight using my Platinum status! AND bag checked easily with no fuss. Frequent flyer heaven!

Previous post someone said shuttles are free. In the case of some partnered hotels, yes. LIV hospitality and a few other hotels utilizes Rapid Shuttle for guest needs. All other are self pay.

Shuttles are free, just ask at baggage claim desk. Don't forget to tip driver, he is saving you a $55 taxi ride

Sandwiches in the deli case by the gates- Check the date and ask for the freshest one. Got a 4-day-old one here once with mold on it. Or better yet, pack yr own snacks.

Small Airport. Convenient, lines usually short. Airport crews are small, so if there is a luggage issue, you may have to wait 2 be helped, the crew is unloading the plane Shuttle service on site.

Took a CRJ 200 to MSP from gate 6. One charging station pole per gate. The TSA did a bag check because of small water bottle.

Try the restaurant/bar Tailwind before your flight! Delish!

Nice updated regional airport that's easy to fly in and out of.

Small, quick and friendly - through security in less than 5 minutes.

They don’t start serving alcohol until 7am so don’t come thirsty!

Super small airport & parking lots are well lit, except the cell phone lot - no lights at all which is creepy at night.

Great place, clean, small, wonderfully nice workers.

There's a laptop bar outside the deli past security. Power and free wi-fi.

Very fast check in and pass through security. Friendly TSA staff.

It’s super quick to go because it’s really tiny.

Delta agents were a little rude in assisting a diamond. Tsa was great, no line and quick. But they do have a backscatter machine.

Don't feel the need to show up too early. But the staff is very friendly.

Be sure to check put the collection of historic Bill Groethe photos on display at gate 2.

Eat before you get here. Options for food are limited.

Very small airport. Takes no more than 15min to clear security. (I think my high school was bigger than the airport) >_<

Smallest and quietest airport I've ever been to. One security gate. Also got my luggage in 5 mins.

Don't bother arriving early - the security gate is only opened when flights are scheduled to depart!
