Door County is known for its tart cherries, and this place is a prime spot for picking! Peak season is in July. When Cherry season is done, the farm closes until Apple-picking season in September.
More than 3,000 apple and pear fruit trees on Washington Island are used for making hard cider. I didn’t like the apple-lavender but ginger and many others were great.
This park offers 867 acres on the rugged Lake Michigan shoreline, with a mile of sand beach and the highest sand dunes in the state of Wisconsin. More than 14 miles of trails!
What a great place to bike! Also enjoyed Nicolet Beach for an icy dip in the water.
What a great pit stop during our bike ride! Serves up a Wisconsin specialty- frozen custard. Kids play on the playground at the outdoor cafe. Fish Creek runs through the property too!
Cute spot, kind people. Helpful and happy to chat. Had a pastry, and then hung out across the street to look at the water.
Nick is great -friendly and really cared about our safety and well-being. Booked on the website an hour before the tour. Reasonable price and fun experience!
Loved sitting outside! Great food, including fresh fried cheese curds. Drinks were so good, and too easy to drink several.
Good spot to stop on the way out of Door County. Sadly on my visit, they had no fresh cheese curds. 😦 Flowers outside are gorgeous though!
Townie bar with friendly locals. Fun to look around at the vintage memorabilia. Fun nickel and quarter games.
