Would never had tasted this without a random dinner guest's ordering decision, but the calzone - filled with a healthy mix of both mozzarella and ricotta cheese - was the best I've had.

Billed as the "best on the planet " but doesn't live up to it. Had a long wait and can't say it was worth it. It was wierd seeing a picture of the owner everywhere you looked.

Always packed, even on the weekdays. Expect to wait at least 20 minutes. Well worth every second!

My favorite vegetarian pie: kalamata olives, sauteed spinach, fresh garlic. Extra sauce, cooked well done. My husband loves pepperoni but likes this pizza better.

voted the best pizza in NYC by Zagat. got the regular pie. superb! some would think not enough cheese, but not me. great location for walking around after the pizza.

Skip the wait a call in your order to go. Then walk half a block down spring to the park and eat it there. The ambiance is more appealing.

Bring cash! It's cash only buddy. This place has been open since like 1905. I guess they didn't take credit cards in 1905 and they still don't take them today.

Exegerated and snobby. ONLY CASH kills it all. Average pizza price is $30. The most expensive ever. NO REFILL on beverages. Each beverage is $5. Also EACH TOPPING for pizza is $5. Go figure ......

Was excited to try their clam pizza. Was not impressed. The pizza had a generous helping of clams, but they were tough and rubbery. Pizza itself was not flavorful. Should have ordered pepperoni.

wish I had read the tips prior to ordering the breadsticks, which were truly horrifying and the worst $9 I've ever spent. Good pizza though!
