The lotus festival in July is what everyone will go to, that's why I suggest the weekend before. Everything in bloom, 1/4 the crowd!
There is a small hiking trail near the visitors center but be sure to watch the video inside to understand what they do here. Interesting stuff!

This is a National Park Site but it's very much like a beach with a snack bar that serves beer, etc. Mosey down the beach from the crowds and marvel at the blue crab scurrying in the surf.
Really like what the Nugget has done with this property. If playing craps next to the dealer beware he'll tap your shoulder all night with the dice stick!
Food is so so but really nice atmosphere overlooking the pool club.
Finding your away around is confusing but check out Whiskey Rose on Friday/Saturday night for a great time

Scenic! Great hiking trails though avoid the horse trails unless you want to spend your time watching for horse poop instead of looking at the scenery.
The Frank Sinatra pizza is really good! Also, cool vibe in here, really feels like a neighborhood hangout.
