The rolls are amazing, very large though, so don't order the same number of rolls that you normally would anywhere else. I would personally suggest ordering the fresh Nigri. Melts in your mouth!
Their food is unique and I'd recommend trying their adventurous combinations. Loved the octopuscakeappetizer and Orange crush roll. Their Diablo roll came extra spicy but it hit the spot.
If you love sushi, make sure to check out their happy hour menu (or stop by for lunch). In the mood for rolls? Try the Matador and/or the Heat Stroke! #ScrappyTips
One of the best sushi restaurants I have been to! The Chef's Selection Sushi ($60) is the best option. You get a wide variety of fish, and it's delicious!
The takoyaki was great, very tasty. The shredded bonita on top was just a great combination. The sushi bar adds a 20% charge for service and it is a little slow, however it is worth it.
Matador, best roll. Oyster shots, delicious starter! Hardworking Mexicans 🇲🇽 and a few other Latin Americans at the bar make a living doing delicious maki rolls, respect 👏👏👏🍣👌
Awesome food and service! Julian was able to get us some drinks (Sundress Manhattan) best one ever while we waited. The line was long but that's what you get on a great place on a Saturday night!
This is my fav sushi place in Seattle. Amazing happy hour, seriously amazing sushi and a fantastic ambiance. Mr. Wonderful, Mexican Ninja and the Green Goddess (no longer on the menu) are my top picks
When I crave sushi I head straight here! My favorite rolls are Super Bad Boy, Mr. Wonderful, and Madrid Moon. Don't leave without trying an Oyster Shooter and Scallop Ceviche. Reservations are ideal!
If they have fatty tuna, get it sashimi or sushi style. It doesn't matter, just get it in your mouth quickly and have your life be forever changed. Best thing I've had in Seattle all year.
Omg, y'all. I am drinking the best negroni I've ever had in my life, and I've been drinking them for years and years. By any means necessary, go to Japonessa and order one of these from Cameron.
Their sauces are amazing. Habaneroaioli, strawberrycitrus, citrustruffle.. Yum. Rolls are good but too much rice and not enough protein..a little bit less rice more protein would make it better.
The happy hour menu is great. The Sake Grasshopper is delicious. The short ribs are so good, but be prepped to get your hands a bit greasy to savor each piece.
Slowly savor the Tempura Brie with the RaspberrySoy Sauce. This is not a delicacy to just be dipped and pounded. Try it w/ a nice sweet nigori sake. And don't forget the bad boy roll! Rolls = HUGE.
Super bad boy roll. You won't regret it. Get it during happy hour...but they're pretty tricky. If you're gonna do take-out during HH, they will charge your sushi regular price. Beware.
Didn't get to try HH, but sounds like a great deal. If you like to try specialty rolls this is your place. Went with a group- everyone enjoyed the rolls and apps. They have edamame but not on menu.
Japonessa is a “sushi cocina” that blends traditional sushi techniques with south-of-the-border ingredients like jalapeno, cilantro, and mango. Daha fazlasını oku
They have a lot of elaborate rolls, that are very comercial, that's why I think is a bit overpriced. The service was very good though and so was their simple yellow tail sashimi.
The crudos are great here. The entire menu seems overpriced and although the food is good, it's not worth $20 a roll. Super crowded and very dark. Phenomenal food/drink happy hour.
The super bad boy roll will change your life. The happy hour is really hard to beat - definitely one if my favorites in Seattle. Be nice to Billy, he's the best!
