Carnitas is flavorful here and doesn’t have the nasty boiled looked / texture that you get at El Faralito and other Mission burrito places.

Vanessa RodriguezHaziran 12, 2019Had a bangin' milanesa torta that comes with a small side of chicken tortilla soup. They have a salsa bar with a must try cantaloupe salsa. Everything tastes fresh and delicious.
In my opinion this place has the best vegetarian burritos in the mission. For meat burritos there are better options on 24th but if you are vegetarian this is your best bet.

Perhaps the best Mexican food in the City. House made chips make for great nachos and the burritos can't be beat.
RoseHaziran 27, 2014We went right at lunch time and it was super crowded and took about 30 minutes to get our food. But as soon as I bit into my torta a la mexicana I didn't care about the wait. The food was delicious.

- at $5 (+$1 for cheese, sour cream, guacamole), El Metate has the most reasonably priced fish burrito in town - and quite tasty too.
- Summer in SF sometimes means having a nice hot bowl of Pozole! 😋

Grilled Chicken Burrito w/refried beans and cheese only and a cup of Horchata is like a slice of sexy heaven when you are seriously hankering for goodness or drunk or high or anytime for that matter!
The flour chips are amazing. Ask for them but they usually say no. What gives?
