Bring a beanie, sunglasses, hat & layers (a windbreaker amongst them)! 1.5l of water per person would suffice. Comfy & waterproof shoes as well!
Definitely a must-see attraction when you're in the West Coast of South Island, New Zealand. Awesome ice formations and the wonders of glacier movement!
Can't get as close to the glacier as you can at Fox Glacier, but the walk is much easier. We got treated to a gorgeous rainbow across the valley though :)
Must see! Bored of souvenir shops? Get there and buy some really nice gifts. Also great to get some fresh food or a hot coffee. Love it.
The water is so clear, you can actually see all the fish and crabs that float past. The waves are pretty big as well.
Pretty interesting architecture. Love hundertwassers works and a pretty interesting man. Not sure if most kiwis understand how amazing he was, but for those who are interested this is a must.
It's worth a stop to explore the staircase carved inside a giant swamp kauri log. Also has an average cafe and good toilets.
Allow plenty of time to make the most of your visit. To avoid disappointment check the performance time to experience a Maori cultural performance of traditional and contemporary song and dance.
Great little spot hidden away off the main drag. Oh.. And the coffee is the business. Get your butt there ASAP.
