Spending a beautiful fall day here is one of the best experiences in Brooklyn! The foliage was breathing, the smell of roses, grass and rain was refreshing and the whole atmosphere is relaxing!

Cherry Blossom season is a great time to come as the park lights up in beautiful colors. Crowds can be enormous at that time. Visit the Brooklyn Museum across the lot.
Beautiful collections of plants and landscapes. Come in the spring for the annual Cherry Blossom festival! Be aware that bloom dates have been varying over the past few years because of early blooms.
Lovely place to spend a Sunday afternoon, although some of the exhibits were closed. And you are only allowed to sit in the grass in certain areas. #youhavebeenwarned
grab a book and a friend. sit out on the lawn and spend the day here. it really closes at 5:30 (it says 6, but they'll kick you out before then) so keep that in mind before you pay admission at 4:30.

Free admission on Winter Weekdays (November–February). Walk around the park and once you feel cold you can warm up in the tropical greenhouses with palm trees and more.
On Tuesdays, Saturdays (from 10 am to 12 pm), and additional select dates and times throughout the year, admission is free of charge for visitors wishing to explore the various gardens and exhibits.

Esplanade's only place in BBG where lawn-sitting is allowed. The Sakura Matsurifestival every May is good fun, but if you want to avoid crowds and see the trees in bloom, come a week or two earlier.
This botanical garden has 13 themed gardens, including a cherry esplanade! No concrete jungle here, only beautiful blooms swaying in the breeze. Be independent, and admire these natural works of art.
