- Small enough to tackle the entirety of the grounds in a day, but diverse enough to focus as much time in any single section. Member's picnic nights can't be beat.
During the winter, weekdays are free to enter. Some of the exhibits may be closed because of the snow.

Esplanade's only place in BBG where lawn-sitting is allowed. Clara WuTemmuz 6, 2015grab a book and a friend. sit out on the lawn and spend the day here. it really closes at 5:30 (it says 6, but they'll kick you out before then) so keep that in mind before you pay admission at 4:30.
